MANATEE — A Bradenton woman has been arrested on multiple charges after an incident at a Bradenton McDonald’s, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Brittany Michelle Rodriguez, 22, was charged with aggravated assault, shoplifting and violating probation at 4:23 a.m. Wednesday, according to the report.
Rodriguez was pacing inside a McDonald’s at 4711 14th St. W., Bradenton, when an employee asked her to leave, according to the report.
Rodriguez reportedly pulled out a pocket knife and pointed it at the victim, saying: “I do not have to leave.”
Deputies say the victim ran to the manager’s office and pressed a panic button. Rodriguez then walked over to the newspaper rack and picked up two USA Today newspapers and fled, according to the report.
Deputies arrested Rodriguez in the back parking lot with the newspapers and a knife with a 3-inch-blade.
Rodriguez was being held in Manatee County jail without bond for violating felony probation. She was arrested for aggravated assault March 30 and placed on probation.
