MANATEE — A 29-year-old man was arrested at 7 p.m. Sunday and charged with obstruction of justice and possession of marijuana.
Justin Barnette answered with profanity and refused to comply when asked by a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy to answer questions regarding a domestic case involving his brother, according to the report.
The incident occurred in the 4500 block of 19th Street Circle West, according to the report.
Barnette then took a marijuana cigarette from behind his ear and threw it away, according to the report.

When deputies told Barnette he was under arrest for obstruction he tensed as if about to fight, according to the report.
Deputies deployed a Taser device allowing them to handcuff Barnette without a fight, according to the report.
