MANATEE — A Bradenton man has been charged with disorderly conduct and resisting an officer without violence, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
John Blodgett, 25, was arrested at 11:17 p.m. Wednesday, according to the report. A deputy reported responded finding Blodgett standing on the edge of the roadway in the 3300 block of Bayshore Gardens Parkway.
Deputies reported they could smell alcohol coming from Blodgett, who had a bloody lip and redness around his left eye, according to the report.
The suspect was hostile, the deputy reported, and began to run when a deputy told him to stop walking away.
After Blodgett was in cuffs, deputies reportedly discovered he had been in a fight.
He was transported to Manatee Memorial Hospital for medical treatment before being booked into Manatee County jail. Blodgett’s blood alcohol concentration was reported as .228.
Blodgett was being held on bonds totaling $620, according to the sheriff’s website.
