Two Bradenton women were injured in a crash on U.S. 41 and Florida Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At 7:41 p.m. Monday, a 2004 Chevy Impala was heading north on U.S. 41 in the left turn lane approaching Florida Boulevard, and a 2004 Hydunai Santa Fe was stopped to yield to traffic facing north in the middle of the intersection.
The Impala failed to stop and hit the right rear of the Santa Fe. The Impala continued to travel northwest, crossing the southbound lanes of U.S. 41, before hitting the curb.
The Impala came to a stop facing northwest in the driveway access of 6612 14th St. W.
The 84-year-old woman driving the Impala was taken to Blake Medical Center with serious injuries; the 62-year-old woman driving the Santa Fe was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
