MANATEE -- A 19-year-old man was pistol-whipped and robbed of all his belongings at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at the Budget Inn, 8110 N. Tamiami Trail, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Three suspects -- one heavyset male wearing a gray T-shirt, one in a T-shirt carrying two revolvers and a short male wearing no shirt -- were described by the victim, according to a report.
The victim drove to the Budget Inn to buy drugs from the heavyset male, according to the report.
Once there he was led to a room where he was confronted by the suspect with two revolvers, who told him to get on the ground. The suspect then hit him over the head with the butt of the gun. They robbed him of his shorts, which contained all his personal belongings, according to the sheriff's office.
The suspects then left the room. The victim waited a minute then fled across the street to look for help, according to the report.
