MANATEE — A Bradenton man was charged with using a firearm under the influence after deputies say he pointed a loaded gun at his wife and another victim and threatened to kill them in July, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Karl Goettler, 59, was already in jail when charged with using a firearm under the influence.
On July 8, deputies reported Goettler became upset after his wife came home from the store.d.
Goettler, who was described as stumbling around, retrieved his loaded handgun and pointed it at her and another victim, saying he was going to shoot them, according to the report.
Goettler was charged with aggravated assault an held on bonds totaling $25,500, according to the sheriff's office website.
