MANATEE -- Two crashes blocked traffic on major thoroughfares in Manatee County on Wednesday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The first crash, reported at 7:25 a.m., happened on southbound Interstate 75 in Ellenton, near the U.S. 301 interchange. No injuries were reported, but there was road block in the right lane, according to the FHP website. However, the lane was reopened by 8:30 a.m.
The second crash, reported at 7:43 a.m., happened on U.S. 41 at Moccasin Wallow Road in Palmetto. At least one person was hurt, and part of northbound U.S. 41 was blocked, FHP said. The lanes were reopened about 8:45 a.m.
Other details about the crashes were not immediately available.
