MANATEE — A 35-year-old man suffered a broken finger after a robbery in the 4300 block of Palma Sola Boulevard.
The incident occurred at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.
The victim and his girlfriend had driven in her car to Ace's Lounge to meet with a 26-year-old man named Robert Riddick, his girlfriend's daughter and another unknown man.
The victim's girlfriend decided to leave with Riddick, and as the victim was walking to his girlfriend's car, he was confronted by Riddick, according to a probable cause affidavit.

The victim was put in a choke hold by the unknown suspect as Riddick began pulling car keys on a key ring out of the victim’s hand, according to the report.
Riddick pulled the ring at such force the key ring cut the victim’s left index finger and broke the bone, the report states.
Riddick, 28, fled the area but was arrested at Aces Lounge at 5:55 p.m. Sunday and charged with robbery, according to the report.
