MANATEE -- Four men reportedly jumped a 15-year-old victim but came away empty after verbally and physically abusing him, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
The incident reportedly occurred at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of 30th Avenue West, Bradenton.
The victim was walking westbound when four suspects ran up from behind, punched him in the the head and chest and knocked him to the ground.
The victim got up and one of the suspects showed him a gun as another held him and went through his pockets telling him “give me everything you have” and calling him names.
The victim had only keys in his pockets so the suspects ran eastbound down 30th Avenue, according to the report.
When he got home, the victim's mother took him to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
The suspects were described in the report by Sgt. Rod Taylor as a tall, skinny male with a short fade haircut wearing cargo shorts, a black T-shirt and Nike shoes; suspect No. 2 was a male with shoulder-length dreadlocks wearing a long white T-shirt and dark pants; No. 3 was a male with a short fade haircut, white T-shirt, cargo pants and red, white and blue Converse sneakers; and No. 4 was a male with a long afro, light blue T-shirt, few days growth of facial hair and armed with a pistol in his waist band.
