BRADENTON — Two juveniles who had been camping Saturday at Gilligan’s Island, 12000 Manatee Ave. W., told authorities they were threatened by four people.
The juveniles told a 911 operator and Holmes Beach Police Department officers that three men and a woman came up to them, threatened to beat them, burn their camping equipment and fishing poles and the island if the juveniles didn’t leave, according to a Bradenton Police Department report.
BPD officers met with the juveniles and their parents at Kingfish boat ramp.
The U.S. Coast Guard also came to help the group get onto the island.

Four males and two females were found along with two boats docked in the water. Authorities saw no weapons and reportedly determined the six had been drinking. Officers found some of the juveniles property, which they had left.
The juveniles could not specify who threatened them, the report states.
