MANATEE -- The Florida Highway Patrol reported a three-vehicle collision occurred at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on State Road 64 and 222nd Street East, Manatee.
No charges and only minor injuries resulted, according to FHP.
A 2005 Chevy Uplander driven by a 20-year-old male from Myakka City was westbound on SR 64 approaching 222nd Street East where a 2007 Honda Prelude driven by a 60-year-old woman from Bradenton westbound on SR 64 was stopped at the intersection waiting to turn left, according to FHP.
A 2010 Toyota Camry driven by a 21-year-old Bradenon man was eastbound on SR 64 approaching the intersection with 222nd Street East, according to FHP.
The Uplander failed to stop for the Prelude, according to FHP, and swerved to the right. The left front of the Uplander collided with the right rear of the Prelude and pushed it into the eastbound travel lane into the path of the Camry, according to FHP. The left front of the Camry collided with the right front of the Prelude, according to FHP.
Two passengers and the driver of the Camry sustained minor injuries, according to FHP, as did the driver of the Prelude.
