PALMETTO -- Two suspects, including a 16-year-old boy, in a drive-by shooting in Palmetto that left two women injured have been arrested, according to Palmetto police.
Quavonte Reddick, 22, and Melvin Davis, 16, have been each charged with four counts of attempted murder, according police.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. Sunday, witnesses in the 300 block of 15th Street West told Palmetto Police Department officers a small, gold-colored car circled the block several times before slowing.
At least one of the occupants of the car shot multiple times at a group of people standing in front of a home, according to a report.
A 27-year-old woman and a 23-year-old, woman, both from Palmetto, were hit by debris from the gunfire. They were treated for minor injuries and released from Manatee Memorial Hospital, according to police.
A vehicle and a home were also struck by bullets, police said.
Reddick is being held without bond at the Manatee County jail.
