MANATEE -- Two masked gunmen late Wednesday robbed a 7-Eleven store in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
About 11:50 p.m., the robbers entered the store at 2604 53rd Ave. W. and demanded money. Once they were given some, they ran westward from the store, according to a news release.
As they were fleeing, the victims told deputies they heard what they thought was a gunshot. No one was injured.
The robbers were described as being between 18 and 20 years old. They were armed with black revolvers and were wearing hoodies with bandanas covering their faces, according to the sheriff's office.
The hold-up was at least the fifth at the store since February 2011, and the third this year, according to a check of Bradenton Herald archives. The most recent robbery was on Feb. 21.
