MANATEE -- Two men were robbed early Monday after two women they met at a bar lured them to a Bradenton residence, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Late Sunday/early Monday, the victims met the women at El Paisano bar, 5803 15th St. E. They invited the men to eat with them at McDonald's, 4711 14th St. W., according to a news release.
After eating, the women asked the men to follow them to a residence in the 3400 block of 43rd Terrace East. Once there about 1:30 a.m., the men were instructed to walk around the back of the residence and to go inside.
As they did, three masked gunmen appeared and demanded the money hand over their possessions, which the victims did.
According to the sheriff's office, one of the victims began to struggle with one of the suspects and was struck in the mouth with a rifle.
The women left the scene in a Ford Expedition, and the gunmen fled in the victims' pick-up truck, which was later found abandoned. The suspects also got away with more than $500 in cash, $1,300 in jewelry and a cell phone, according to the sheriff's office.
One of the women had black hair and a tattoo of the sun on her left shoulder. She was wearing black pants and a green shirt, according to the sheriff's office.
The second woman had blond hair, and a tattoo of unknown lettering on an arm. She was wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt.
No physical description of the gunmen was included in the report.
