A 16-year-old Tampa girl with four passengers in her vehicle, all minors, collided with the rear of another vehicle stopped at the light on Cortez Road and 34th Street West and stopped Tuesday.
The car the teen hit sped away, becoming a reverse hit-and-run, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The teen driver was traveling east on Cortez at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday when the accident occurred.
The fleeing vehicle was described as a tan-colored passenger car, possibly a Nissan Maxima. There was probably minor damage to the rear bumper.

The teen driver had a 12-year-old Tampa boy, a 14-year-old Tampa boy and two 14-year-old Bradenton boys in her vehicle.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has any knowledge as to the identity and or location of the hit-and-run vehicle or driver is asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol at 239-938-1800 and ask for Trooper Barnett.
