A former Manatee County Sheriff’s Office lieutenant charged with child molestation was in court Wednesday regarding conditions of his release.
Judge Thomas Krug granted Dale Couch a $207,500 bond May 28 with the condition he wear a monitoring ankle bracelet as part of supervised release.
Defense attorney Gregory Hagopain filed a motion June 10 to modify the conditions of Couch’s release.
“The defendant’s supervised release officer instructed the defendant that absent a court order providing for a reasonable curfew he is not allowed to leave his home except for court appearances and meetings with his attorney,” the motion stated.

The defense and the prosecution agreed to a curfew between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., which was granted by Krug.
“At all other times, the defendant shall be permitted to travel freely subject to my prior no-contact orders,” Krug ordered.
