MANATEE -- A man and his girlfriend were arrested late Sunday after they were caught trying to steal aluminum and scrap metal from a Bradenton warehouse, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
About 11:22 a.m. a deputy spotted Danielle R. Farrell, 25, in a car in the parking lot of a warehouse in the 6900 block of 15th Street East. When the deputy stopped the car, he noticed scrap metal sticking out of the car's trunk and windows, according to a news release.
Farrell told the deputy that her boyfriend Michael E. Remillard, 24, was still in the building.
Deputies saturated the area, and Remillard was arrested when he was spotted walking along 15th Street East, according to the report.
The sheriff's office said Remillard works for a subcontractor and has keys to numerous businesses in the area.
Remillard and Farrell face charges of burglary and theft. They were being held at the Manatee County jail on bonds totaling $3,000 each.
Farrell also faces a drug possession charge, according to the jail website.
