A Nokomis man was arrested last week in connection with a 2012 incident where he allegedly molested two Palmetto girls under the age of 12, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Donald Gene Tiffany, 44, was charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation Friday by Sarasota County deputies executing two arrest warrants from Manatee County.
MSO spokesman Dave Bristow said Tiffany allegedly molested the two girls, ages 5 and 10, in October last year in their Palmetto home.
An investigation was launched Oct. 27 by Manatee authorities. MSO detectives conducted a forensic interview with the two victims Oct. 29. The girls reportedly told authorities Tiffany touched them inside and outside their clothing at least three times.
Tiffany was living in Bradenton at the time of the alleged incidents. He remained in the Sarasota County jail until transferred Monday to the Manatee County jail in Bradenton on $50,000 bond.
Lewd and lascivious molestation is a second-degree felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
