MANATEE -- Two members of the SUR-13 street gang in Bradenton have pleaded guilty to gang-related activity and have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms, according to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Danny “Boom” Robledo, 27, who was charged in October 2011, pleaded guilty to racketeering, conspiracy to engage in racketeering. Robledo, who already was serving a life term for murder, was sentenced March 28 to an additional 15 years in prison.
“Lucky” Luciano Muniz, 22, pleaded guilty tis week to racketeering, conspiracy to engage in racketeering, theft, and two battery charges. Muniz was sentenced to 15 years in prison and five years probation.
“Thanks to the strong partnerships among my Office of Statewide Prosecution, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, the Bradenton Police Department, and the State Attorney’s Office, we have made great progress in removing this dangerous gang from the Bradenton area,” Bondi said in a news release.

“To date, this case has resulted in 11 SUR-13 gang members behind bars and nearly 90 years in prison time.”The case was investigated by the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Bradenton Police Department, and it was prosecuted through a partnership between the Attorney General's Office of Statewide Prosecution and the State Attorney's Office for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
The status of the other SUR-13 defendants, according to Bondi, is as follows:
-- Danny Duran, pleaded guilty, sentenced to 13 years in prison.
-- Irwin Sanchez, pleaded guilty, awaiting sentencing.
-- Martin Agustin, pleaded guilty, sentenced to nearly 11 years in prison.
-- Britney Vela, pleaded guilty, awaiting sentencing;
-- Manuel Ramirez, pleaded guilty, awaiting sentencing.
-- Luis Ortiz, pleaded guilty, sentenced to 10 years in prison.
-- Antonio Falcon, pleaded guilty, sentenced to 10 years in prison.
-- Joel "Dough Boy" Rodriguez, pleaded guilty, sentenced to five years in prison.
-- Marbin "Spantos" Villacorta, pleaded guilty, sentenced to 10 years in prison.
