MANATEE -- An inmate at the Manatee County faces an additional charge after she allegedly slapped a deputy, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
The deputy was in the process of fingerprinting and photographing Katina Collins, when she "became agitated and stated that she wasn't going to have her picture taken any more," a news release states.
As the deputy explained to her that she had to be photographed, Collins became more aggressive and started to move around the room. The deputy tried to calm her down, but Collins put her hand up and slapped the deputy, causing her glasses to break and leaving a red mark on her forehead and lip, according to the sheriff's office.
Collins was charged with battery on an officer, and was being held on bonds totaling $5,620 bond.
Last month, Collins charged with pushing a deputy who was trying to arrest her after she reportedly kicked several people in the genitals.
