MANATEE -- A man has been charged with felony murder after a robbery victim fatally shot his fellow suspect, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Jared Lee, 24, allegedly accompanied James Brady, 26, and another suspect during the attempted robbery of two men outside a residence in the 4200 block of 24th Street West about 10:20 p.m. on Jan. 20.
Brady allegedly pointed a gun at one of the victims who pulled out a handgun in self-defense, according to the sheriff's office. Brady was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lee has been charged with felony murder for Brady's death, which occurred during the commission of a crime, as well as robbery. He is being held without bond at the Manatee County jail.
