MANATEE -- A 54-year-old Bradenton resident was critically injured in a traffic accident about 11 a.m. Sunday when another vehicle failed to stop at a red light at 15th Street East and 30th Avenue East, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.
During the crash, the victim, who was riding a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, entered the intersection on a green light, where he was struck by a 2012 Dodge Caravan. The impact threw him onto the windshield of the Caravan, and then onto the roadway. The victim was taken to Blake Medical Center for treatment, FHP reported.
Three occupants of the Dodge Caravan were taken to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. Two of them suffered minor injuries, and the third was uninjured, according to the FHP.
Roger Darling, 39, of Bradenton was charged with failure to stop for a traffic light.
