  • Stolen daycare van used to break into gas station

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating a business burglary that occurred at the Sunoco Gas Station located at 8402 Gunn Highway in Odessa. At approximately 2:17 am, the suspects used a stolen Ford van (stolen from Land of Learning Academy located at 8809 Robson Street in Tampa at approximately 1:55 am) to back into the front of the business, breaking the glass windows on the front of the store. It appears the suspects were utilizing the stolen vehicle to gain access into the ATM located near the front door. After smashing into the building multiple time with the van and knocking over the bolted ATM, the stolen van became wedged inside the building on top of the ATM. The ATM remained within the Sunoco and no items were stolen. The suspects then fled the scene.
