MANATEE -- Three men have been charged with dealing drugs near Lincoln Middle School in Palmetto, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Acting on information provided from a concerned citizen, the sheriff's Special Investigations Division started an undercover investigation, with detectives buying rock cocaine and marijuana from the suspects, according to a news release.
On Thursday, deputies arrested the three suspects in the 1600 block of First Avenue, Palmetto.

-- Clifford Leland Jr., 32, of Palmetto, six counts of sale of rock cocaine and four counts of sale of marijuana. He was being held at the Manatee County jail on bonds totaling $360,000.
-- Eugene Furnice, 38, of Palmetto, four counts of sale of rock cocaine and four counts of sale of marijuana. When he was arrested, Furnice was holding five hydrocodone pills, two-tenths of a gram of marijuana and two-tenths of a gram of cocaine, according to the sheriff's office. He was being held on bonds totaling $83,500.
-- Marcus Johnson, 22, five counts of sale of rock cocaine. He was being held on bonds totaling $50,000.
