MANATEE - No injures injuries were reported following a residential fire Saturday afternoon in Manatee, the Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue reports.
Three engines responded to the 200 block of 51st Avenue West at about noon, a report said. The only one home at the time was a teenage boy, who left after discovering the blaze. He was unharmed.
Fire and heavy smoke were found coming from the left carport and enclosed utility room of the home, the release said, and caused about $55,000 worth of damage.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and the residents, two adults and two teenagers, were given assistance from the American Red Cross.
