MANATEE - A man was threatened with a gun, attacked and robbed after driving two people to Manatee County Friday night, the sheriff’s office reports.
Deputies noticed a suspicious vehicle in the 13000 block of Buckeye Road at abut 10 p.m., a media release said, along with a bloody shirt and some papers on the ground next to the vehicle.
A search of the area was conducted but nothing else was found.
It was later learned that two suspects asked the victim for a ride into Manatee County, the release said, and while in Hillsborough County one of the suspects pointed a pistol at the victim and told him to drive to their destination.

When they arrived, one of the suspects hit the victim on the head with an object, causing an abrasion, the release said. The suspects then took a bracelet and a necklace from the victim and fled. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and responded to the scene as well.
