MANATEE -- A masked man tried to rob a Bradenton savings and loan on Friday morning, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. But because the front doors were locked and employees had to buzz people in, the suspect got away with nothing.
The suspect began pulling on an entrance door at Liberty Savings, 1411 60th Ave. W., Bradenton, about 9:30 a.m. When he or she couldn't get in, they fled the scene.
A police dog tracked the suspect to a nearby business but then lost the track, according to the sheriff's office.
The suspect was described as standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black ski mask, gray pullover sweatshirt and dark jogging pants.
