MANATEE — Manatee County Sheriff’s Office investigators say bones found in East Manatee on Sunday afternoon were from a pig.
The bones were found at about 3:15 p.m. Sunday by a 45-year-old Palmetto man walking through Country Meadows looking at lots for sale. The bones were near the back edge of a lot in the 700 block of 147th Court Northeast.
The sheriff's office Sunday said the bones were possible human remains.
But Dave Bristow, spokesman for the sheriff's, said this morning there was debris strewn throughout the property, including a pig' head.
