MANATEE -- Deputies were looking for four suspects in an early morning shooting in Palmetto, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
The shooting happened in the 600 block of 21st Street East about 12:40 a.m. when someone in a Cadillac De Ville fired two or three shots at the two occupants in a vehicle that had been following them. The victims had been following the Cadillac because they wanted to talk with the driver, according to a news release.
At one point, someone leaned out of the Cadillac and opened fire. The victims continued to follow the suspect vehicle while calling 911 until they lost track somewhere near the intersection of 49th Street East and U.S. 41 North, according to the sheriff's office.
There were no injuries, and no property was struck by the gunfire
