A man in his late 50s or early 60s was taken to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg after he suffered a gunshot wound Friday night, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
The shooting took place at about 10:20 p.m. inside a residence in the 700 block of 24th Street East, police said. No shell casings were located. The man sustained a non-life threatening wound to his shoulder. Police are investigating whether it was self inflicted.
The shooting remains under investigation.
Also Friday night, Palmetto Police investigated an unrelated shooting near 11th Street Drive East and Seventh Avenue West. No one was seriously injured, according to emergency communications.
And Manatee County Sheriff's Office investigated what appeared to be a domestic related stabbing at about 11 p.m. at Trade Winds Mobile Home Park, 5917 14th Street West. No one was seriously injured in the incident, according to emergency communications.
