MANATEE - A Manatee man who answered a knock on his door was robbed of cash, jewelry and a video game system, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
About 11:50 p.m. Friday, a resident in the 100 block of 32nd Avenue East opened his front door and was confronted by two men, including one with a handgun. They forced him to the ground, and as he was held at gunpoint, the intruders grabbed $667 in cash out of his pocked and a $500 gold bracelet he was wearing, according to a news release.
The suspects also took a Playstation PSP video game device.
The victim said he did not know the suspects, who were described as being in their 20s and wearing all black, and he did not know the direction of travel after they left his residence or if they left in a vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.
