A two-man team of thieves used distraction to brazenly steal a victim’s wallet from under her nose. Broward Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit detectives are investigating. On the evening of May 11, 2017, while shopping in the bakery section of the Pompano Beach Whole Foods, the victim was approached by an unidentified Hispanic male. He asked her if she could read the price of a cake on the lowest shelf. When she leaned over, the second thief reached into her purse and grabbed her wallet. The victim noticed almost immediately that something was wrong and struggled with the thief to recover her wallet. The thief fled the store in a rush. His accomplice casually walked away from the melee.

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating a business burglary that occurred at the Sunoco Gas Station located at 8402 Gunn Highway in Odessa.
At approximately 2:17 am, the suspects used a stolen Ford van (stolen from Land of Learning Academy located at 8809 Robson Street in Tampa at approximately 1:55 am) to back into the front of the business, breaking the glass windows on the front of the store. It appears the suspects were utilizing the stolen vehicle to gain access into the ATM located near the front door. After smashing into the building multiple time with the van and knocking over the bolted ATM, the stolen van became wedged inside the building on top of the ATM. The ATM remained within the Sunoco and no items were stolen. The suspects then fled the scene.
