Two cars were stolen early Tuesday from a Bradenton auto dealership, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
About 5:52 a.m., a security alarm sounded at the Hendrick Honda car dealership, located at 5515 14th St. W., and as a deputy approached the area, he saw two cars speed away southbound on 14th Street West but was unable to catch up to them. According to the sheriff’s office, one car was a red Chevrolet Sonic and the other was a black 2016 Honda CR-V.
Through the investigation, detectives found two glass doors shattered and several offices in shambles. A suspicious unoccupied car was parked at Tommy Knockers, 5627 14th St. W., and deputies confirmed that it was the Chevy, which is owned by Enterprise Rent-A-Car but was at Honda to be detailed, according to the sheriff’s office.
