A woman has been charged with burglarizing a home and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Palmetto Police Department.
Amburr Lucious, 29, was arrested at 10:17 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of 14th Street West. According to the report, police saw Lucious walking in front of a home and called her over. She immediately began yelling to leave her alone because she has not committed any kind of crime, according to the report.
The victim told police he heard a noise from his living room window and could tell someone was messing with the screen. Moments later, he observed a hand reach through the window and tried to open the window. The victim then called law enforcement, according to the report.
The victim told police when the hand disappeared he went outside and saw Lucious by the window looking through a cigarette pack.
Lucious was arrested and a search of her backpack revealed a syringe, a glass pipe with white residue and burnt brillo. She was charged with burglary and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and was held in Manatee County jail on bonds totaling $8,000, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office website.
