MANATEE -- County officials are holding an informational meeting on Jan. 16 for non profits interested in applying for human services grants.
The meeting is meant to help local non-profit agencies interested in applying for human services grants that go to assist disadvantaged children and families in the community.
“We’ll give an introduction to this year’s application process and update everyone on changes that will take place related to the evaluation of the applications,” said Andy Guyre, Human Services Division manager. “It is imperative that all interested agencies attend this meeting. We will be releasing the application and announcing important deadlines at this meeting.”
Community Services Department representatives will hold the meeting Jan. 16 at 8:30 a.m. at the United Way McClure Center, 4215 Concept Ct. in Lakewood Ranch. Application period dates will be announced at the meeting.
Applicants must be non-profit agencies that are recognized as a corporation under the State of Florida and tax exempt under section 501(c) (3) of the internal revenue code.
