MANATEE -- Pouring rains in Manatee County Friday brought an increasing number of calls about localized flooding.
Manatee County Department of Public Safety Director Ronald J. Koper said Friday evening that dispatch was starting to receive more calls about localized flooding.
"Currently there's only two places that they have reported street closures," he sai. "The first is 12th Street, U.S. 41 right in the area of 13th Avenue by the Racetrac. In both directions, the road's closed.
Koper said that it was the most significant closure at that point.

The second closure was in the area of Third Avenue and 60th Street Court North West in Bradenton, according to Koper.
Other unofficial reports of temporary road flooding included 75th Street West at Manatee Avenue.
