BRADENTON — Master Patrol Officer Jeanine Gagliano-Pease of the Bradenton Police Department has been named Female Officer of the Week.
Born in New York, she graduated high school in upstate New York in 1992 before moving to Sarasota in 1997 where she worked in several different fields.
In 1999, she attended Manatee Technical Institute Law Enforcement Academy, in Bradenton and earned a certification in law enforcement graduating No. 1 in her academy class and earned top of her class in firearms training.
In March 2000, she was hired by the BPD as a call taker on the front desk. Upon completing the Law Enforcement Academy she was hired as a full-time police officer by the BPD.
She became a canine officer in 2006 and is now senior canine handler.
Gagliano-Pease participates in the Florida Police/Fire Games every year in the shooting events and has received gold, silver and bronze medals.
