BRADENTON — Children from Team Success A School of Excellence will put crayons to paper this week to draw their dream playground, which will become a reality with help from the Tampa Bay Rays and national nonprofit KaBoom.
Design Day is also the first meeting for the Playground Committee to determine how best to create the new playspace.
The meeting from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday will focus on children designing their dream playground with volunteers participating in a planning meeting from noon to 3 p.m. at Team Success, 202 13th Ave. E., Bradenton.
The new playground will serve more than 650 youngsters in Bradenton. The existing playground is rusting and unsafe for students.
Never miss a local story.
Elements from their drawings will be incorporated into the design of the playground to be built Nov. 6 at Team Success.
