MANATEE -- Rain is on the way back in Manatee County.
According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Josh Linker, the drier air mass that has been in place since Friday is on the way out.
"We have a developing low pressure are that will be taking place over the next couple of days," Linker said. "High pressure to the south and east is going to take a lot of the moisture out in the Gulf and funnel it into our area.
"We're not going to see large areas of rain, but there will be a ton of moisture, and that means we will see periods of showers and thunderstorms starting tomorrow and going through much of the week."
Never miss a local story.
As was the case last week, some showers and storms will pack frequent lightning and gusty winds, Linker said.
Overall, there is a 60 percent of rain over the next three days.
