Florida and the Tampa Bay area the envy of the country right now.
While a good amount of the rest of the nation is dealing with freezing temperatures, ice and snow, the Bay area is looking at partly sunny skies and warm temperatures for the next several days.
According to Bay News 9 Meteorologist Juli Marquez, high temperatures will be in the low 80s through the weekend.
"There is an area of high pressure in the Atlantic providing southeasterly winds," Marquez said. "A strong cold front is moving through the Midwest towards the east coast but it will stall north of Florida. We will continue to have nice weather in the Bay area."
Meanwhile, highs today across the country include 9 degrees in Denver, 31 degrees in Chicago, 52 degrees in Boston and 36 degrees in Seattle.
Locally, skies will turn partly cloudy tonight with some fog overnight before another warm and partly sunny day Friday.
"It's going to be warm and nice in the Bay area for the next few days."
