MANATEE -- Thunderstorms on produced spectacular lightning in the Tampa Bay region on Tuesday.
Wednesday might provide an encore.
The National Weather Service says isolated thunderstorms will be possible Wednesday afternoon as east and west coast sea breezes collide. The main hazards are expected straight line damaging winds, frequent lightning and heavy rainfall.
The chance of rain in Bradenton is 50 percent, mainly after 3 p.m. Otherwise, skies will be partly sunny with a high near 92 -- and heat index values as high as 101, according to the Weather service.
Wednesday night, skies will be partly cloudy with a low around 76. There is a 30 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms before midnight.
The Weather Service also advised that minor flooding continues on the Myakka River at Myakka River State Park and on the Peace River at Arcadia.
