Easier said than done, Charles Bennington, crossfit coach and master of inspiration to sweaty athletes everywhere.
But that directive can refer to a state of mind rather than be an admonishment.
Look at Rae Ann Darling Reed; cross country coach and distance runner. She decided to run 40 miles on her 40th birthday for victims of two tornadoes.
Rae Ann set out down the gravelly path on a muggy morning, running loops at Robinson Preserve. She was joined by former student Sarah Ecker for the first loop and other runners on each subsequent loop.
After hours of running under the sweltering summer sun, blisters ended her day at mile 30. Her heart was in it for the long haul, but her feet had other ideas.
No matter. The day was an inspiration for all those who joined her on those long, hot miles.
Why waste one minute, one day?
Set a goal. Dream a dream.
