MANATEE -- Temperatures in the Bradenton area were expected to remain far above freezing Monday night as a warming trend continues after a frigid weekend.
As of 23:05 p.m., it was 70 degrees at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, above the forecast high of 68.
For Monday night, the National Weather Service was predicting the low would be 54, with partly cloudy skies and east-southeasterly winds of 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.
For Tuesday, forecasters were calling for mostly sunny skies, with a high near 77 and southeasterly winds of 9 to 16 mph becoming south-southwesterly in the afternoon. Gusts could reach 22 mph, according to the Weather Service.
The low Tuesday night was expected to be 59.
There currently is no chance of the rain in the forecast through Sunday.
