A Bradenton man trying to cross U.S. 41 near the intersection of 14th Street W., was hit by a car and seriously injured Saturday evening, police say.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was crossing the highway eastbound near the entrance of Wayside Glen Mobile Home Park at about 7:25 p.m. when he walked into the path of a vehicle heading south.
The vehicle hit the pedestrian's left side; his head and elbow hit the windshield, an FHP report said. He was taken to Blake Medical Center with serious injuries.
No charges have been filed, the report said.
