Tampa Bay area residents can expect another round of cloudy conditions today with some rain chances.
According to Bay News 9 Meteorologist Juli Marquez, there will be a mix of sun and clouds today and a chance of some thunderstoms later in the day.
"We will continue to have more clouds than sunshine today,'' Marquez said. "For the afternoon hours, we will have scattered showers and possible thunderstorms.''
For Bradenton, the National Weather Service was calling for a 40 percent chance of scattered showers.
Low temperatures will be mild this morning, in the mid-60s. Despite the rain threat, temperatures will rise towards 80 degrees, Marquez said.
Once today's rains move out of the area, warmer and drier conditions will move in later in the week.
The rain chances are expected to be lower on Tuesday.
