Information on a double homicide in Bayshore Gardens could be worth thousands of dollars.
The Gold Star Club of Manatee County is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the double homicide on Harvard Avenue on Aug. 5, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
At 3:55 a.m., a 25-year-old woman came home in the 1100 block of Harvard Avenue in Bayshore Gardens and was accosted by three or four suspects, according to the sheriff’s office.
The woman was forced into a bedroom and heard yelling and gunshots. Investigators believe her boyfriend, 23-year-old Rodney Willliams and possibly one other person came to the home shortly after the woman. That’s where they encountered the suspects.
Though the woman was able to escape and call for help, deputies found Williams and Keith Lamar Jones, 28, dead.
Detectives continue to investigate the killings.
Williams and Jones’ deaths could also be connected to a crime scene near the intersection of Bahia Vista Street and Yale Avenue in Sarasota where Andre S. Bryant’s body was found on the side of the road. However, officials have not yet confirmed the connection.
Anyone with information can call the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
