The NewerTech Kitchen Kit is the perfect assistant for any kitchen to keep the iPad tablet upright, displaying recipes or whatever you need to perfect your cooking.
It includes the NewerTech NuStand 360-degree rotating iPad holder (12-by-8-by-5.5-inches) for full-sized iPads, which has a kitchen-friendly scratch-resistant rubberized black aluminum finish.
The product is fully thought out, weighted to keep it in place and with an anti-skid base with removable silicone blocks.
There's an opening in the back to keep a charging cable attached and four corner hold blocks for keeping the iPad in place and for protection.
Never miss a local story.
The elevation keeps your tablet away from spills and other flying objects.
And if you don't need help with your cooking, the stand is great to keep your iPad in place for videos or music, in or out of the kitchen.
To complete the kit, a silver NewerTech NuScribe stylus is included. This gives you a stylus on one end and a twist-barrel ballpoint pen on the other.

Just Solutions has a great solution for redirecting sound from iPads with the SoundBender.
I tried the tablet model and it worked well. I have the iPad 4, and when I lie down, with the screen vertical, the sound is barely audible because it's pressed against me.
The SoundBender takes care of that by redirecting the sound without forcing you to move the screen to a different viewing angle.
Its wire- and power-free. Just magnetically secure it to the bottom area where the speaker is and it bends the sound at you without losing one bit of clarity. It works with many thinner cases, including the Apple SmartCover. If you have a few minutes, surf the Just Solutions site. You'll find a lot of cool, innovative products.
Keep in mind that the SoundBender will only change the direction of the sound, it doesn't amplify it like a portable wireless speaker. But then again it's only a fraction of what portable speakers cost.
It's available from justsolutionsproducts.com for $5.99 for the iPad 2, 3, 4 model; $9.99 for the iPad Air 1, 2 and Mini.
