The 18,380-square foot building at 5101 4th Avenue Circle E, which houses a Partners Imaging Centers clinic, was purchased by Coastal Center 64 E LLC on March 20, according to Manatee County records. The company is controlled by former Florida state Sen. John McKay. Coastal Center 64 is also affiliated with NDC Construction Co., a national residential and commercial builder that has its Florida headquarters in Bradenton.
The seller was Axcess Diagnostics Building Bradenton LLC of Bradenton.
According to the listing agency, Ian Black Real Estate of Sarasota, the property was originally listed for $4.5 million.

Axcess Diagnostics' majority owner is John Uphold, a California medical doctor, according to county records. In 2009, the building was the subject of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding in the Tampa division of the U.S. Bankruptcy court. Built in 2004 as a medical office building, the structure is home to one of seven Partners Imaging locations.
Partners Imaging offers a range of services at the Bradenton location, including MRIs, CT scans, X-rays and mammography, Dexa and ultrasound services. Also leasing space in the building is Coastal Orthopedic. The building has a third space for lease, approximately 3,600 square feet.
Jag Greywal, an Ian Black partner, said the property had been on the market for about a year when it sold.
Greywal confirmed that the buyer behind Coastal Center 64 is McKay.
The property last sold in 2003, when Axcess purchased the 1.7-acre property as vacant land for $777,500.
