Colombia seeks to partner with Port Manatee to boost business

As Colombia enters a new era of peace after a half century of war, agribusiness in the country promises to lift residents of the South American country out of longstanding poverty. Connecting agriculture companies with points of entry such as Port Manatee are one step in growing the agribusiness industry in Colombia.

Port Manatee enters agreement with St. Petersburg, Tampa ports

On Thursday, the Manatee County Port Authority authorized the port to enter an interlocal agreement with the ports of St. Petersburg and Tampa. The authority also authorized the port to file a claim against Fresh Quest, which was a tenant but stopped paying rent after it was bought by another company.
