Andy Reeves has been named executive director for the Lighthouse of Manasota, an agency that rehabilitation training for the visually impaired. Reeves, has been involved with the organization for 10 years. He brings 16 years of managerial experience, financial expertise and the understanding of visual challenges. Before joining the Lighthouse, Reeves was vice president and market leader with BB&T's new branch on Fruitville Road.
Lucy Brenner has been named treasurer for Designing Women. Brenner is a Tax Senior at Kerkering Barberio in Sarasota. A licensed CPA, she graduated from East Carolina University with bachelor and master of science degrees in accounting. Previously she worked as a tax senior associate at accounting firms in South Carolina and most recently in Irvine, Calif.
Matthew D. Westerman, principal at Blalock Walters, P.A., has been selected to participate in Leadership St. Pete. Westerman is board certified in labor and employment law by The Florida Bar and represents clients in virtually every aspect of the employer-employee relationship.
David Tyler, an agent with Wagner Realty's State Road 64 office, has been granted Realtor emeritus status by the National Association of Realtors. The Manatee Association of Realtors submitted an application and documentation substantiating his 40 years of membership in the local association.
